Essential Functions

• Responsible for the safety of all children
• Actively engaged in the learning of children
• Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans
• Provide direct support to fellow staff members
• Ensure that classrooms are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Serve as a role model to the children in the group through appearance and actions
• Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe , clean and inviting
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and families
• Keep the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events and family meetings as requested

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• A love for children
• High School Diploma
• Pass a local and FBI background check
• Experience working with children between the ages of birth to four years, and a passion for working with this age group
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong organizational skills
• Must be able to actively participating in the program while ensuring the health and safety regulations are met or exceeded
• A desire to further your knowledge and education in the Early Childhood field
• Department of Children and Families Staff Credentials is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours : 40 per week
