We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our Team. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational functions including, but not limited to, maintenance and repairs of the vehicle fleet, including mechanical body shop, service, preventative maintenance, and scheduling.

Our Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates or tech School degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five plus years’ of demonstrated experience in maintenance and distribution environment.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws.
  • Experience with having P&L responsibility, owning, and managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software.

Our Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of previous fleet related supply chain function experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation, persuasion, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions to achieve desired customer satisfaction goals.
  • Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.
  • Experience in using routing software (Omnitracs Suite) for maintaining routes and reporting purposes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Management of all vehicles, equipment, and facility maintenance.
  • Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
  • Managing the annual fleet budget ensuring its alignment with business plan objectives.
  • Direct and develop a management team responsible for the various fleet functions.
  • Lead continuous cost improvement, productivity management, and process improvement strategies that drive profitability.
  • Oversee collaboration with fleet maintenance providers to analyze historical data and determine long-term strategies.
  • Direct the strategic plan for fleet replacement using maintenance records and logistics requirements at the branch level.
  • Assess current fleet modules and data to establish new business requirements based on fleet strategies; recommend development and management of fleet systems.
  • Oversee capital expenditure functions through purchase order creation, delivery tracking, invoice processing, and updating budget reports.
  • Support maintenance and fuel operations to include performance, standards, and vendor management of outsourced maintenance and fuel solutions.
  • Support operations functions such as National Safety Rodeo in planning, scheduling events, and budgeting.
  • Monitor and address regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA, DOL and state-mandated programs).
  • Oversee local/state/federal required documentation for DOT inspection and driver records, per regulatory requirement.
  • Support corporate engineering to implement engineering controls to minimize occupational health hazards.
  • Maintaining vehicle compliance items such as renewals, registrations, titles, and other compliance items.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 150lbs
