DescriptionJob Summary:FOCUS Broadband is seeking a Construction Control Specialist for our on-site call center. Assignments will consist of scheduling operations for both the construction and splicing departments. This position consists of processing and assigning service orders, entering 811/locate tickets, dispatching trouble reports, receiving incoming customer complaints and following up with contractors, receiving work completion calls, and logging in. Entering all construction jobs issued into Focus Broadband’s Open Point Work Management system. Regular work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM unless on-call.

Requirements
- Working and processing all service orders and routes to appropriate personnel.
- Prepares service orders, including reviewing plant, equipment changes, address, contact numbers, correct codes, and other information (Assignment & INST routing).
- Pays particular attention to maintaining and providing the most current, accurate, and detailed plant assignment information.
- Coordinating with drop contractors, including but not limited to creating daily service orders, monitoring and documenting when orders are completed and/or rescheduled.
- Entering 811/locate tickets for drop contractors and providing contractors with service orders.
- Entering new construction projects into Open Point.
- Receives customer calls for construction complaints and routing to the appropriate department for follow-up.
- Proficient with Arc GIS map viewer software.
- Knowledge and understanding of CRM, ArcGIS, AS400, SLM, Scheduling Maintenance, I-SAT, CMS, Meta and EWSD, and other systems utilized by Focus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with distractions (Multitasking is necessary).
- Skill in both oral and written communications.
- Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts professionally and courteously.
- Ability to work overtime with little or no notice.
- Ability to work Saturdays and Holidays as scheduled.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in business or five plus years' experience in administrative work preferred.
