Are you ready to take be part of our amazing team as Laboratory Technician in our construction materials lab? Geotechnical & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking a talented Laboratory Technician to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. In this position, you will play a crucial role in performing laboratory material testing and ensuring adherence to quality standards and client schedules.

The Laboratory Technician is expected to perform all aspects of laboratory material testing in conformance with GES, Inc. The lab technician performs testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt and other specialized materials. He or she is expected to coordinate all activities with the lab lead, lab supervisor, project manager and program manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform laboratory testing and prepare detailed reports with quality and accuracy, delivering results on time.

· Obtain and maintain relevant certifications

· Follow Safety Manual guidelines

· Pick up field samples for laboratory testing and discuss scope of laboratory testing with Field and Laboratory Supervisors

· Maintain testing equipment and related housekeeping tasks in a thorough and efficient manner

· Coordinate laboratory testing with Supervisor

· Demonstrate and foster a positive work environment

· Show commitment as a team player

· Perform other duties as assigned

Laboratory testing will be completed on schedule in conformance with the company’s quality standards. Managers and field staff will receive accurate test results on time, enabling superior customer service.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS DESIRED

· High School diploma

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Excellent client relations skills

· Relevant NAQTC and ACI Certifications

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
