Fox Valley Surgical Associates is Hiring an Information Technology Coordinator Near Appleton, WI

Job Summary: The Information Technology Coordinator will serve as an internal subject matter expert providing knowledge and advice related to specific hardware, software, processes or issues and needs of the organization. This role is the primary source of support for software and hardware related matters. The Information Technology Coordinator assists in ensuring technology is leveraged by identifying, selecting, and implementing new or improved software to increase staff and provider productivity and enhance patient experience.

Essential Job Duties:

General

  • Working as an IT project manager, alongside leadership, department leads, and vendors, aligning projects with the company's strategic vision.
  • Work closely with leadership to determine organization needs and deliver IS solutions.
  • Support process improvement and problem solving related to IS areas of responsibility to decrease defects/barriers, improve customer satisfaction, and create efficiency.
  • Maintain and build professional relationships between IT partners, operational customers, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Conducts education sessions, presenting job-specific, company-specific, and office applications training to staff and physicians.
  • Providing IS support assistance by managing project requests and help desk tickets submitted for end-users.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Clinical Informatics/EHR

  • Lead and implement special projects and strategic initiatives that optimize the use of the EHR (Electronic Health Record) to support clinical operations and achieving organizational goals.
  • Provide EHR training and at-the-elbow support, to ensure end-user adoption and optimization.
  • Continuous growth by learning new EHR processes and updates, technology applications, and workflows to support the organization's vision.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for optimization using EPIC foundation standards as a guide.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions with department leads.

Software/Hardware/Office Equipment

  • Provides immediate, front line problem solving for all software and hardware systems.
  • Adhere to and implement all IT security policies and processes, including but not limited to building access and computer access.
  • Manage and support providers with pagers and the paging system.
  • Maintaining and upgrading software systems.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions with department leads or conduct individual training sessions with end-users on new hardware and software programs.
  • Managing phone systems, providing training, support, deployment, and reporting.
  • Ordering, tracking, maintaining, and upgrading hardware according to documented processes and following lifecycle maintenance guidelines, including but not limited to PC’s, laptops, monitors, headsets, phones, and various types of printers.

Education or Work-Related Requirements:

  • Associate degree in IS/IT or healthcare field required.
  • Working knowledge of Epic, experience as Epic Analyst or Clinical Informatics Specialist required.
  • Epic Systems certifications preferred or the ability to complete Epic certifications classes and meet the requirements to be a content builder within the first 4 months of employment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Required to be Successful:

  • Experience with EHR systems, processes and standards for clinical work
  • Proven work experience as an IT Trainer, Technical Trainer, or similar role
  • Experience designing training materials.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms plainly
  • Ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to operate independently and within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Possess excellent time management, multi-tasking, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and takes initiative with aggressive follow through and follow up skills.
  • Ability to work in an intense fast-paced environment with aptitude to adapt to ever changing priorities.

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Requires occasional lifting of papers and/or boxes to an approximate 20 to 40-pound weight.
  • Work is performed in an office environment involving frequent contact with staff and physicians.
  • Work may be stressful with short and/or multiple deadlines at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
