The Annual Giving Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the philanthropic landscape of the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC). Tasked with planning and executing comprehensive strategies, this role is dedicated to identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding annual donors who champion FJC's mission of fostering a vibrant Jewish future through transformative summer experiences. This professional will help lead direct mail and digital solicitation strategies. The Annual Giving Manager oversees and drives the organization's annual giving initiatives. With a strategic focus on expanding individual donor outreach, acquisition, and engagement, this position aims to significantly enhance the base of annual gifts through proactive prospect management and donor relations. As an integral member of the FRD team, the Annual Giving Manager contributes directly to the advancement and sustainability of FJC's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive annual giving initiatives encompassing online, direct mail, and external donor communications
  • Drive acquisition of new, renewed, or increased funding from individuals via diverse channels such as online platforms, direct mail, digital campaigns, events, and direct solicitations
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of database entries, reporting procedures, and donor stewardship activities
  • Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with individual donors, fostering a sense of community and investment in FJC’s mission
  • Strategize and execute donor engagement and recognition for annual campaign contributors
  • Utilize data analysis of direct mail and digital solicitation outcomes to refine strategies and enhance return on investment
  • Collaborate closely with FJC's Marketing team to develop cohesive messaging that resonates with donors and prospects, aligning with solicitation efforts and personalized donor stewardship communications
  • Partner with the Director of Major Gifts to identify prospective donors and create engagement strategies to encourage increased giving levels and long-term donor commitment

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3 years’ fundraising or related experience
  • Proven expertise in crafting and implementing effective annual fundraising strategies
  • Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing donor-related data to drive informed decision-making
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and forward-looking mindset
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives independently
  • Strong multitasking skills, adept at managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Understanding and belief in the unique power of immersive summer camp experiences
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, donor databases; Salesforce a plus
  • Marketing experience a plus
