At Fairview Boarding we strive to create an environment where dogs enjoy spending time away from home. The same should be true for each member of our human team! What you will do

The Dog Training Assistant provides training support and daily care & attention to the daycare and lodging dogs in the facility. In this job, you will:

• Work a flexible schedule including at least one weekend day
• Assist trainer with daily training exercises
• Clean and sanitize kennels, beds, exterior runs, and common areas
• Launder bedding, clean and sanitize dishes
• Feed and water dogs according to their specific dietary needs
• Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs and report any concerns to the supervisor
• Exercise and interact with the dogs to ensure their well-being
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
• Greet customers
• Check dogs in and out as needed

What we expect of you

We're all different and have different experience. The person we seek will have these qualifications:

Preferred qualifications

Previous dog training experience in a professional setting is preferred, but we are open to training the right, dedicated individual.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
