Summary:
As a Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our company by preparing accurate construction estimates, budgets, and bids for a variety of commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate construction costs for a range of commercial projects
- Maintain and update a comprehensive cost database
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to compute project costs
- Prepare detailed reports and bids for submission to clients and stakeholders
- Develop thorough proposals with clear information and cost breakdowns
- Manage multiple estimation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide efficient and helpful responses to customer inquiries throughout the bidding process
- Collaborate with Senior Estimators to review project specifications and drawings
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, On Screen Takeoff, and Estimating Software (e.g., Plan Swift)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is advantageous
- Adaptability to work both in-office and in the field within a fast-paced environment
