The Head Hostess is a senior role in the hospitality industry responsible for providing leadership to a team of hostesses at Federal Grill. Hosts are the first and last impression for our guests. We want hosts who are natural people-persons and can create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Clear communication, attention to details, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities all with a smile are key qualities for a Federal Host to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for training all new hosts
• Coach and mentor existing hostess
• Map large event floor plans
• Manage flow of guests for seating and wait times
• Fulfilling reservations for guests via phone or in person
• Using OpenTable
• Communicating to managers, servers, bartenders, etc any guest special requirements
• Clear, friendly, positive communication on the phone to confirm reservations
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of Host stand
• Welcoming guests by opening the door, seating guests, holding door open for guests as they leave
• Occasionally placing togo food orders
• Clean uniform and professional appearance
• Administrative duties requested by General Managers

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hosting/server experience preferred
• Friendly and guest focused personality
• Clearly articulates when communicating to guests, staff, and managers
• Understanding of inventory, COGS, and labor costs
• Smile, positive energy, optimistic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
