Eugene Fastener is Hiring a Vendor Managed Inventory Fulfillment Specialist Near Eugene, OR

Job Description:

Eugene Fastener is expanding its territory. Help us grow, but still be home every night.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Order Taking and Put Away Service Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, processing orders, and ensuring accurate placement of products in our warehouse or storage facility. You will play a critical role in optimizing inventory management processes and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Taking:
  • Receive and process orders from customers for replenishment of inventory. This is done digitally with hand held scanners or keyed into a device. Computer navigation, typing and experience with data input into ERP and CRM systems is required.
  • Ensure accuracy of order details, including product codes, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with customers to confirm order receipt and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Put Away Service:
  • Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming goods to verify correct item, good quality, and correct quantity.
  • Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations according to inventory management systems.
  • Follow procedures for on-site replenishment and paperwork processes.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and product demand to anticipate replenishment needs.
  • Work closely with customers to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stock outs.
  • Use item quotes and spreadsheets to generate scannable item labels.
  • Quality Control:
  • Identify and report any issues or discrepancies with incoming stock to appropriate departments.
  • Process exchanges and/or returns of orders as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and performance metrics as needed.
  • Enter call logs daily.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations, to coordinate inventory activities.
  • Communicate proactively with customers to provide order updates, address issues, and resolve any operational challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inventory management, order processing, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in person, on phone and via email.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software , Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • ODL with a clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to manage logistics of route planning and loading of vehicle for safe and efficient transport of product.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional certification or training in inventory management or logistics (preferred but not required).
  • General math skills (fractions and decimals) to set up optimal bolt bin organizers.
