Position Purpose:
The Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County (FCC) is seeking a qualified, Spanish- English Bilingual Advocate for Outreach, Engagement and Advocacy Services. In this vital role, you are responsible for community outreach and engagement to address the prevention, identification, intervention and follow-up to domestic violence with a specific goal of increasing safety through victim safety planning and protection. Additionally, you are responsible for community awareness and education to promote long term stability for victims by creating easy and ready access to support and services.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:
· Serve as initial point of contact and screening through multiple access points including hotline, lethality program and community partner referrals.
· Conduct essential and timely follow up to individuals seeking assistance.
· Provide direct client advocacy services to include assessment, support, safety planning and advocacy meetings on-site and in community with clients.
· Conduct outreach to Spanish speaking individuals, families and the broader community-based outreach and engagement strategy and presentations developed with team.
· Provide information and referrals as indicated through client engagement and assessment process.
· Function as key liaison with core community partners including, but not limited to: Baltimore County Police Department, Baltimore County Child Protection Services, Baltimore County Family Violence Unit and other community non-profit partners.
· Work collaboratively with Shelter and Housing Team and New Behaviors Team to coordinate and deliver services across agency programs.
· Develop and implement survivor-centered programming to support ongoing safety and stability.
· Contribute to high performing team ethic that is aligned with organizational core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Innovation and Empowerment.
· Collect data to inform programmatic and operational decision-making processes and respond to grant reporting requirements.
· Maintain current knowledge of issues impacting domestic violence and victim services; operationalize best practices (such as housing first, rapid re-housing, trauma informed care, harm reduction, etc.) and comply with confidentiality requirements such as the Violence Against Women Act.
· As appointed, serve as liaison to key government agencies, represent FCC on relevant committees and task forces, and participate in speaking engagements, conference panels and trainings.
· Support FCC’s Executive Team in responding to government and foundation requests for proposals and applications in partnership with the development team and management.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
