Structural Engineer-in-Training E.I.T.

Join our dynamic team as a Structural Engineer-in-Training! We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide invaluable support to our engineering team. In this role, you will assist with engineering calculations, field inspections, reviewing and redlining structural designs, and producing structural designs primarily using AutoCAD. Projects will encompass various materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, windstorm, and foundation designs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers in various tasks including calculations, field inspections, and design reviews.
• Produce structural designs utilizing AutoCAD, adhering to established company standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success.
• Analyze input material to determine the best approach for completing drawings.
• Design projects to meet safety standards and code requirements for both vertical and lateral loads.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• E.I.T. certification, actively working towards obtaining a P.E. license.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Civil3D is a plus.
• Minimum of two years of structural design engineering experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time office-based role located in Bay City, TX. The position may occasionally require site visits under variable conditions. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am-6pm, and Friday, 8am-12pm. The role involves both sitting and standing for long periods, with occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
