EOE is seeking an IT Project Manager with business analysis expertise to join one of our application development teams. The IT Project Manager will lead project planning, develop comprehensive project plans, and collaborate with business analysts to craft business requirements documents. The incumbent will work to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
The primary work location for this role will be 135 Santilli Drive, Everett, MA 02149. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
This opportunity would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days. This position is expected to provide on-call and weekend support as needed and requested.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to craft high-quality business requirements documents.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define project goals and allocate resources effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and communicate updates regularly to stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts promptly to maintain momentum.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, offering guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Three (3) years of project manager experience in leading technology software development and implementation projects, with a background in systems and solution development and delivery preferred.
  • Experience in state government, federal government, or educational IT environment preferred.
  • Hands-on business analysis experience, with the knowledge of writing business requirements documentation.
  • Experience working in Scrum or Agile environments.
  • Proficiency in project tracking and management tools such as JIRA, Service Now, RACI, RAIDQ.
  • Familiarity with analytic technology and technical terminology.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and practices, with the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in promoting teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.
  • Ability to evaluate project risks and recommend prioritization and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • PMP certification desired, but not required.
Qualifications

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have (A) at least two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional or practical experience in the field of information technology project management, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. An Associate’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
II. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
