Dr. Koya - Dermatology & Internal Medicine is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Crest Hill, IL

PLEASE NOTE: SALARY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Seeking a pleasant, friendly, compassionate, and professional front office individual to work as a medical receptionist, needed for a dermatology, aesthetics and internal medicine practice. Job responsibilities include:

  • Greeting patients in a professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments in person and via phone (using our EMR)
  • Verifying insurances
  • Process personal and insurance payer payments (cash, credit card, check)
  • Field phone calls from patients/insurance companies/pharmacies and clinics
  • Perform end of day balance of office receipts and generate bank deposit forms
  • Must comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Entering information into electronic medical record/electronic calendar
  • Rooming patients, turning over rooms, sterilizing surgical instruments
  • Creating new patient files
  • Filing
  • Copy/Fax as needed
  • Interacting with drug representatives
  • Working with outside labs for specimen pickups including paperwork to collect and maintain specimen logs

Must be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a team; detail oriented, well organized and proactive. We are seeking a trust worthy, energetic and professional individual. Job requires ability to multi-task as well as be respectful and accommodating to patients. Please email resume.

Hours per week: negotiable and will change as practice grows

Location: Hinsdale, IL and Crest Hill, IL

Education:

  • High School diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent

Experience

  • Medical Receptionist: 1 year
  • Working in Internal Medicine/Dermatology/aesthetics a plus

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in basic computer functions.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly, including electronic medical record (EMR), billing software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Must possess high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
  • Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and professional and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
