Education and/or Experience
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises a team of quality technicians and the Quality and Safety Specialist. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities of this position also include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning and directing work assignments, appraising work performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Environmental, Safety, Quality, and Legal Requirements: Understand and follow all environmental, safety, quality, and legal regulations for the area in which they work.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to render occasionally complex regulations and certification requirements understandable to laypeople.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to accurately count multiple configurations of inventoried products and raw materials. Familiarity with exponential math.
Computer Skills: To perform this job to a valued degree of success, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Reasoning Ability: Must have strong troubleshooting skills. Must use common sense and solid judgment when making decisions.
