Overview
As the Kitchen Production Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of culinary operations in an industrial capacity. From quality control to cost management and employee well-being, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring all activities meet operational standards and timelines are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Allocate 75% of time to kitchen duties and 25% to office tasks, optimizing productivity.
- Recruit, coach, and evaluate staff, ensuring their development and performance.
- Supervise production to maintain recipe adherence, consistency, and quality.
- Open kitchen daily, overseeing production activities.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient workflow and task prioritization.
- Ensure staff efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead the team during production, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Manage timely ingredient procurement to avoid production delays.
- Ensure all food meets quality standards within specified timeframes.
- Maintain equipment inventory and storage standards.
- Enforce strict sanitation guidelines in compliance with regulations.
- Liaise with management regarding performance and operational needs.
- Attend all company meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility.
- Adhere to company policies, including record-keeping and safety protocols.
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Additional duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of large-scale food service experience
- 2 years of experience in large-scale food production
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and quality monitoring
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer)
- Familiarity with HACCP and USDA guidelines
- Physical capability for kitchen duties
- Flexible and adaptable for varied work schedules
Schedule: Day Shift (Hours/Days may vary based on clients' needs)
Compensation: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly
