Dept_PhysLoc is Hiring an Utility B- 2nd Shift (2024-41) Near Hampton, IA

Starting wage $20.26 per hour.
$2.00 per hour shift premium.
Job Objective
To perform miscellaneous duties as assigned in the following departments: Zinc Plating, Chrome Plating, Buffing, Tumbling, Die Cast, Plastics, Machining, Stamping or Factory General.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents.
2. Duties vary from department to department so the biggest duty is to ensure that they understand the machine they have to run, how the process works, what to look for, how to adjust if needed, or who to get involved. Some of these duties could be running machines, completing tool set ups, working in the lab performing test and adding chemicals, filling out various paperwork or reports and making schedules when needed.
3. Can move from department to department at any given time. The Utility position is used to fill in or help in areas that are overloaded with work or don’t have the manpower to perform all the work.
4. Make recommendations which will improve operations or reduce cost.
5. Keep Manufacturing Coordinator or Manager informed of problems which require immediate attention.
6. Cooperate with others and perform other duties as assigned.
7. Follow established safety procedures and policies at all times.
8. The position is responsible to ensure the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System which includes but not limited to significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations and environmental risks.
9. Maintain a good attendance record.
10. Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
Examples of duties in departments are, but not limited to, the following:
Die Cast: trimmer
Tumbling: run degater and media tumbler
Buffing: run hand buffer,
Chrome Plating: parts hanger
Machining: run production
Plastic run production
Zinc Plating: load and unload parts
Stamping: run secondary operations for production
Factory General: miscellaneous duties as assigned
Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required
Must be able to use company computer system, run forklift and scales, read prints, use micrometer and caliper for various jobs as assigned.
Ability to stay positive with a good attitude and values Trimark’s Core Values.

Working Conditions
Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company’s business demands.
Variable - depends on department that you are working in.
Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection in some departments, and other protective equipment as necessary for safe working conditions. All areas require normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency.
