EF Ultimate Break is Hiring a Video Editor Near Cambridge, MA

As part of a fun team that loves what they do, you will inspire travelers between 18 and 35 to sign up for life-changing travel experiences around the world. We are looking for a creative, resourceful video editor to develop content that gets travelers excited about beautiful destinations and showcases the awesomeness of group travel. You’ll work alongside creative and marketing professionals, including designers, copywriters, paid and organic social media experts, and digital marketers to produce highly engaging content that tells the story of EF Ultimate Break. We’re seeking a proactive team member who excels in editing both short-form paid social ads and highly-produced videos, demonstrating expertise in working with user-generated content, motion graphics, sound design, music, coloring, and file management.

What you'll do:
  • Act as an editor of EF Ultimate Break paid media, primarily short-form videos that leverage user-generated content and social media trends to drive interest in Ultimate Break trips and/or value props
  • Manage all aspects of the video editing process, including animation and motion graphics, sound design, music, color correction, and exporting
  • Review both owned and traveler-submitted footage and proactively pitch new video ideas
  • Seamlessly combine user-generated content with owned raw footage (and stock)
  • Produce videos to required specifications for paid media advertising, including YouTube (and YouTube shorts), Facebook, Instagram (Reels), and TikTok
  • Provide direction to Ultimate Break Brand Ambassadors, influencers, and staff on best practices for filming usable, social-driven content while traveling
  • Apply trends in motion graphics and animation to brand video work
  • Create short animations for our website, email, and social channels
  • Translate static brand graphics into animation for promotional videos
  • Co-manage relationships with vendors in the video space (i.e. stock footage, music, voiceovers)
  • Organize and manage digital content and storage of video and photo assets
  • Monitor and share video and photography trends within pop culture for Gen Z and Millennial audience
Who you are:
  • 3-5 years demonstrated professional experience in video editing and animation (experience creating paid media ads for ecommerce and/or Gen Z brands is a plus)
  • Fluency in social media trends and formats, as well as successful ad formulas
  • Highly efficient video editing workflow and knowledge of exporting best practices
  • Ability to translate both owned video and user-generated content into compelling brand stories
  • Skilled in animation and motion graphics, and comfortable partnering with designers to bring a vision to life
  • Ability to organize and keep track of large amounts of media across multiple sources
  • Knowledge of copyright, image permissions, and fair use protocols for music and video resources
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Media Encoder, and DaVinci Resolve, with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • An impeccable eye for detail and excellent time management skills
  • A well-developed sense of humor and grace under pressure
  • A love and passion for travel
  • Bonus points if you dabble in or have had some experience working with AI
