Schedule: Days and hours vary- Contracted PRN Position - (Monthly Unit Inspection, availability for patient consults)

Position Responsibilities:  

• Provides nutritional consultations and counseling to patients and families when indicated by the hospice care plan.
• Coordinates with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop care plans based on the patients’ nutritional status, goals and choice.
• Completes clinical duties and documentation accurately and timely (i.e., nutritional assessments, progress, care plans and discharge plans).
• Plans menus and diets that meet the nutritional needs of Hospice House residents in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures related to dietary and nutritional service.
• Provides in-services and education to staff, volunteers and community partners as requested.
• Serves on committees and task forces to develop educational, quality improvement, and standards of care as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from the American Dietetic Association and current Florida license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in nutrition.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate skills for communication with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population.

• Valid Florida Driver’s License and required auto liability insurance.
