Assistant Warehouse Manager

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Summary: We are looking for a qualified Assistant Warehouse Manager to be a part of our company. Your role will be to assist in supervising, overseeing, managing, and motivating your team members to complete daily tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Maintains clean, safe work environment; performs job safely; reports and addresses unsafe and/or hazardous conditions.

· Assists the Warehouse Manager in managing and supervising all warehouse employees.

· Fill in for the warehouse manager when needed.

o Is capable of accomplishing all tasks assigned to the warehouse manager.

· Be familiar with Lightspeed and all software required to accomplish daily tasks.

· Assist in cultivating a healthy and motivating work environment.

· Discover training needs and provide coaching to team members.

· Train new employees on the proper way to accomplish tasks.

· Oversee and manage the flow of work while identifying and directing your attention the area most in need of assistance or to your assigned pick line/work area.

· Is responsible for the completion of the daily product picking process. This is accomplished by all daily tasks including:

o Handling bring back product.

o Back stocking the pick line.

o Questioning out of stock items.

o Picking product from the pick lines or in bulk areas.

o Ensuring end of day clean-up processes are in place and accomplished.

o Monitor pick accuracy and neatness.

o Loading all trucks for Rochester routes.

o Monitoring product integrity through the process.

· Meets warehouse manager bi-weekly to discuss performance of team and identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or 1 year on the job experience

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Language Skills:

Excellent communicator with strong technical aptitude who remains abreast of industry/technology trends. Ability to communicate through email effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, move around, walk and stand for majority of the time, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Hours and Work From Home Capabilities:

· Standard hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm with ½ hour lunch break. Sunday – Thursday. Occasionally Friday support will be required as well.

· This position is based in the Rochester, NY branch.

· Work From Home (WFH) Capabilities: Scheduled WFH days are unavailable for this position as it has onsite managerial responsibilities. Special circumstances may be approved from time to time in which written approval is required from the Director of Operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $23.50 per hour
