Diaspora Community Services is a social support agency that empowers families and individuals to maximize their abilities to succeed through culturally sensitive health promotion, family support services and advocacy.
Primary Responsibilities
The Program Manager will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Community Based Programs to implement and deliver essential sexual health, public health, linkage, and navigation services to youth. The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing resources for the youth services department, while directly managing the Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP) program, and leading a team of Health Educators, Senior Youth Support Specialists, Coordinators, Peer Educators, and youth of various ages.
The Program Manager will be responsible for overall health communication activity on social media platforms, and teaching about behaviors that promote adolescent wellness and healthy decision making. The Program Manager will use appropriate strategies, and methods to facilitate health promotion and sexual risk avoidance, and must have a thorough understanding of the diverse populations of youth served by DCS.
