Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical operation of the Hospice agency. This role oversees the dynamic interdisciplinary team and works closely with the Administrator to ensure compliance and excellent patient care. Key responsibilities involve budgetary, management, leading the activities of the nursing team, providing clinical direction, and ensuring compliant growth and profitability of the agency. This individual drives team work, leads by example, and has a focus on quality care.

Duties:
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team
- Oversee nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the nursing department
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and resources effectively

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of Medicare and other healthcare reimbursement systems
- Experience in acute care, hospice care, home health, assisted living, or related settings
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
