Overview:

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Elder Care Assistants. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to elderly individuals in various settings.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, grooming, and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
• Assist with mobility and transfers for individuals with limited mobility.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of the elderly.

Skills:

• Experience in patient care, preferably in a nursing home or home care setting.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
• Ability to take vital signs and monitor health status.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for the elderly.
• Valid driver's license for transportation needs.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is a plus.
• Background in nursing, social work, or a related field is beneficial.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
