About The PositionThis position serves as the primary contact for hospital Program Directors for an assigned group of markets ensuring they maximize their partnership with CMN Hospitals. The Market Director works in partnership with the Area Vice President and the Corporate Partnership, and Programs teams to successfully execute fundraising initiatives within a specific group of hospital markets. This individual is accountable for identifying, researching, and understanding the in-depth needs and opportunities of each hospital market they serve and providing proactive solutions for sustainable fundraising growth based upon a 1:1 approach.
EducationMinimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years of relevant experience and/or in combination with a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Advanced degrees such as MA or MBA are typically not required.
Experience
  • Knowledge of non-profit industry standards, general business, and management principles. Involved in planning, leadership, fundraising, customer service, and coordination of people and resources to meet customer needs.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling the unique fundraising services of CMN Hospitals.
Competencies
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills. Capable of establishing strong rapport with a wide range of people from internal stakeholders to hospital partners and corporate partner contacts. Capable of forging important relationships with corporate partner leadership through consistent and deliberate effort across multiple touchpoints.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Capable of developing and delivering presentations to large groups of partners when needed to encourage fundraising and commitment to the cause.
  • Highly proficient in data analysis and the use of Microsoft Excel. Capable of analyzing existing reports and creating new reports based upon specific partner needs to complement proposed fundraising strategies. Proactively identifies key areas of opportunities and improvement in partner/hospital fundraising strategies and develops communication to execute against them.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Able to lead members hospitals and partners contacts to desired conclusions and results, while upholding the mission and vision of CMN Hospitals.
  • Prioritization of projects. Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at once, while maintaining constant communication amongst all key stakeholders and appropriate use of internal reporting tools.
  • Leadership qualities. Strong desire to develop others. Takes ownership of new Program Director onboarding process and ensures new hospital team members have a strong grasp of the resources available to them to support successful fundraising strategies in their market.
  • Self-starter. Capable of creating daily structure and driven to achieve goals and results each day as part of a remotely based team.
  • Team Player. Capable of functioning as a key component of multiple teams and brings insights and best practices to the forefront. Also capable of coming to group consensus when needed to support fundraising practices in the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Works in conjunction with the Vice President of Foundation Partnerships to execute the operational plans required to ensure a 1:1 customer-focused approach with our hospital communities.
    • Holds regularly scheduled (at least monthly) touchpoints with assigned markets to discuss current and upcoming fundraising campaigns and status of campaign execution plans.
    • Forecasts local fundraising performance monthly and makes leadership aware of any anticipated changes in variance of $25k or more (up or down).
    • Responsible for ensuring their assigned markets complete the EZPMR submission process each quarter.
    • Works with the accounting team to reconcile hospital-reported funds to ensure the accuracy of market's fundraising totals.
    • Gathers/shares best practices from other markets to enhance the likelihood of fundraising success where possible.
    • Ensures hospital markets have tools for successful fundraising campaigns and events.
    • Responds to all outreach from hospital markets within 48 hours and provides solutions, troubleshoots challenges or connects internally with other CMN Hospitals staff to find answers to hospital inquiries.
    • Subject matter expert on the membership agreement including fee structure.
    • Works in conjunction with the Corporate Partnerships team to successfully execute fundraising initiatives with national and regional partnerships (both one-time and ongoing) of varying sizes and maintains relationships with key partner contacts to help ensure continual fundraising growth and training within designated hospital portfolio area.
    • Provide effective coordination and collaboration between the area and all CMN Hospitals teams to ensure effective communications standards are met.
    • Helps ensure a consistent stewardship plan is implemented for both hospitals and partners.
    • Represents and speaks on behalf of CMN Hospitals at conferences, industry training and events.
    This job description provides a snapshot of the key duties and responsibilities associated with this role. Work hours will vary depending on partner schedules, project deadlines and the organization's needs. Occasionally, employees may be requested to undertake additional tasks not outlined in this description in alignment with the needs of the organization. This role is a remote position within the Foundations Partnerships South Team with up to 40% travel, as needed. The ideal candidate would live within the Foundation Partnership South area.
