POSITION PURPOSE
The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine’s Maddy’s Theatre is seeking Stage Managers for our 2025 season and beyond. Stage Managers work closely with the Theatre Team, production director, actors, and production designers to document blocking and support actors with line learning, communicate technical requests from rehearsals to designers, and oversee performances while running or calling cues from the booth.

SCHEDULE
While exact schedules vary by production, a typical schedule includes evening rehearsals Monday-Thursday 6-8pm, and daytime performances Wednesday-Sunday, with two show days on the weekends. Tech rehearsals run for one week from 6-10pm.
COMPENSATION
Stage Managers are paid for rehearsal, performance, and meeting time. This is a part time, per-diem position paid hourly. $18.81/hour. Stage Managers earn PTO in accordance with Maine’s Earned Paid Leave law (1 hour for every 40 hours worked).
Stage Managers work closely with the production director, actors, creative team, and Maddy’s Theatre Team. Stage Managers report directly to the Theatre Production Manager.
