Position: Preschool Teacher

Location: Children's Land of Wheeling

At Children's Land of Wheeling, we truly care about our employees and the impact they have on our young learners. As a Preschool Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing children for their educational journey. We seek a passionate and experienced educator to create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment that meets the developmental needs of pre-kindergarten children.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
  • Monitor developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of each child's progress.
  • Facilitate a structured daily routine, including educational activities, playtime, and rest periods.
  • Ensure children's safety by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and address any concerns.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive working environment.
  • Create and use educational materials that stimulate the children's senses and encourage learning.
  • Organize activities that promote exploration and motor skill development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in pre-kindergarten education and care.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with pre-kindergarten children.
  • Mandated Reporter certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.
