Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with animals and providing top-notch care in a veterinary setting.

Duties may vary based on qualifications and experience:

- Handle and restrain various animals for examinations and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
-Perform basic pharmacy tasks, handling and dispensing medications
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
-Venipuncture and placement of IV catheters
-Utilize and maintain aseptic techniques
- For licensed technicians, administration and monitoring of sedation and general anesthesia in cats, dogs, and other species.

Experience:

- Prior experience in veterinary settings required
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Familiarity with dog and cat body language
