Job Summary:

The Cares Campus Coordinator will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of food services at the Cares Campus on the weekends, focusing on recruiting, scheduling, and managing volunteers. The coordinator ensures food is served in compliance with Serve Safe standards and fosters positive relationships with case managers and patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
• Actively recruit volunteers to serve food at the Cares Campus.
• Conduct orientation and training sessions for new volunteers.
• Schedule volunteers to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Supervise and support volunteers during their service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Food Service Management:
• Oversee the serving of food, ensuring compliance with Serve Safe standards.
• Monitor food safety and hygiene practices to maintain a safe environment for patrons and volunteers.
• Ensure the proper storage and handling of food supplies.
• Relationship Development:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with case managers to facilitate smooth operations and support services for patrons.
• Engage with patrons to understand their needs and gather feedback for service improvement.
• Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service offerings.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities.
• Prepare reports on volunteer engagement and food service operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in customer service and/or volunteer coordination, food service management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Serve Safe standards and food safety regulations (training available).
• Skills:
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of volunteers, staff, and patrons.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves regular interaction with volunteers, patrons, and staff at the Cares Campus.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate volunteer schedules and special events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 19 per week
