Friday : 8 : 30 a.m. - 2 : 30 p.m. due to a weekly field trip

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION :

• Previous experience working with students of various ages in or outside of the classroom
• Professional Educator License or Youth Services Experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (which are not in any hierarchical order)

• Must be 18 years or older and able to meet physical demands of job.
• Assist in planning daily lessons around specific themes which will include stem and craft activities as well as recreational and game activities
• Prepare park for students' arrival
• Take daily attendance
• Maintain discipline and if necessary, contact parents if any student(s) are not adhering to summer program rules
• Inform parents of any upcoming field trips or events
• Supervise students and staff on all field trips
• Communicate with park board president or designee as necessary
• Attend all planning meetings and summer staff meetings
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma; Valid Driver's License; Ability to pass a background check and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
