Chef’s Corner Restaurant Equipment and Supplies is the leading commercial kitchen supplier in New Jersey. We provide everything from new and used restaurant equipment and smallwares to consulting and design.

We currently have an opening for a Sales Associate in our retail showroom. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, able to multitask, and have excellent communication skills. Some food service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with existing clients and prospective clients
• Present and demonstrate products to potential customers and close sales deals
• Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, management, logistics, and installation/service departments
• Stay up to date on product knowledge, applications, and trends within the restaurant equipment industry
• Use company vehicle for appointments and the occasional delivery of supplies
• Act as principal point of contact for customers via phone and in person
• Assist customers in product education and location within showroom
• Maintain proper inventory levels in showroom while keeping showroom neat and orderly
• Receive in supply orders and replenish inventory as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience in the foodservice industry preferred, and/or background in foodservice equipment sales
• Strong organizational skills required
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone and email required
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
