Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Office Coordinator / Bookkeeper’s is to complete the day to day bookkeeping transactions. In addition, this position will provide support to the Welcome Center staff, including answering phone calls, receiving visitors, processing and distribution of mail and facilitating office equipment maintenance. Responsibilities involve exposure to sensitive information and require considerable discretion, diplomacy and judgment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Bookkeeper:
Perform general bookkeeping duties including Cash Receipts and Accounts Payable
Assist in the management of Camp Store, including cash and inventory
Assist with preparation of routine reports and bookkeeping documents
Support preparations for the annual audit and preparation of IRS Form 990
Direct administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer
Document bookkeeping procedures and provide recommendations for improvements
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Office Coordinator:
Demonstrates Camp values and standards of conduct, displays respect and courtesy with co-workers and when greeting all guests, on the phone and in-person, provides general information, answer questions and direct individuals to appropriate parties as needed
Distribution and processing of mail and deliveries
Coordinate and track inventory of office supplies
Coordinate maintenance of office equipment
Works in cooperation with other departments to provide coverage for phones as needed
Qualifications - Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Office Coordinator, Receptionist or Front Desk position.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience with general Bookkeeping duties
Excellent computer and typing skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 10 suite and Sage or similar bookkeeping software Camp Boggy Creek Office Coordinator / Bookkeeper Summer 2021
Self-starter with the proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to handle exposure to sensitive information confidentially and with considerable discretion and diplomacy
Strong Organizational and project management; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical/Mental Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary role; therefore, long periods of sitting are required
Intermittent physical activity, including but not limited to bending and reaching
Working in a camp setting which requires exposure to environmental hazards including hot and humid temperatures, inclement weather, insects and natural Florida wildlife.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
