Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent patient service, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical billing and coding processes
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures
- Proficient in using practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical records management systems
You will serve as an extension of our skilled Clinicians by retrieving the necessary equipment and paperwork for patients and cleaning/prepping. This is great experience if you’re interested in the field of physical therapy!
