Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra is looking to hire Youth Development Professionals for our After School Program!

We have employment opportunities great for those interested in working with children, adolescents and families!

Youth Development Professionals work at after-school program sites to provide homework assistance, develop and implement program curriculum and activities, implement classroom management, and supervise members during programming (20:1 ratio). Serve as a positive role model and establish meaningful relationships to encourage and motivate youth participation!

Location:

One of our elementary or intermediate sites within La Habra City School District.

Schedule/Pay:

Part time, Up to 25 hrs/wk, excluding recess periods

M-F 2:15pm – 6:15pm | W 1:15pm – 6:15pm

(Sub positions available for those who can only work 2 days a week M-F)

$17.00-$18.00/hr

Qualifications/Responsibility:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· HS diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 48 college units or pass the District proficiency exam

· Must clear screening and background check

· Proof of negative TB test

· CPR/First Aid Certification

· Experience in working with children

· Must plan, promote, and execute extra-curricular programming as assigned by the ASES Site Coordinator

· Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems

· Effectively manage a classroom of 20-23 students
