A leading non-profit agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join its team as a DSP/Day Hab Supervisor. The role is fully in-house, and the hours are 8 AM - 4 PM. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role, and the hourly pay rate is $19.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings such as nursing homes, residential homes, and community-based programs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of the individuals under your care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
• Engage individuals in social activities and promote community integration
• Implement individualized care plans and document progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, nurses, and therapists
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals

Experience

• Must have valid driver’s license- may have to try patients to doctors’ appointments.
• Seeking 3 years of experience- Direct Care, Direct Support, Health Aide- anything relevant
• Must be okay working with this population (autism)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
