The Advancement Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing fundraising efforts in the areas of individual donors and corporate giving. Corporate giving duties will be related to individual donors (such as matching gifts, point-of-sale opportunities, volunteer grants, etc.). Will be accountable for achieving monthly and annual targets through these efforts.
The ideal candidate will be outgoing and organized, with great follow-through skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and must have professional written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities
Individual Giving
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of prospects and individual donors, both annual and recurring
• Manage individual giving solicitation and stewardship communications including mailings, emails, and social media outlets
• Create, plan, and manage annual campaigns to cultivate new and existing relationships with donors including, but not limited to, North Texas Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, and End of the Year Appeals.
• Develop and implement fundraising activities geared towards individuals or the community at large in coordination with programming initiatives
Corporate/Community Giving
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of business partners and prospects that offer opportunities to leverage individual gifts, either through their company or through community engagement activities
• Develop and implement a strategy to utilize matching programs, give-back events, or other corporate philanthropy programs to ensure monthly and annual revenue goals are met
• Assist the VP of Advancement and/or Market President in communication with Corporate Foundation and/or Grantor partners when needed, including through written or electronic communication or during virtual or in-person meetings
Administrative Support
• Create and distribute monthly updates and annual impact report to donors and supporters
• Provide quarterly updates on Board Members' direct contributions in relation to Board obligations and assist with the onboarding of new Board Members, as needed
• Work within agency’s donor database to assist fundraising efforts through effective database management.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related discipline
• Three to five years of demonstrated experience in agency operations, fund development, sales, or marketing
• Deep understanding of Tarrant market demographics
• Thorough knowledge of the non-profit setting, project planning, organizational skills, and prospect research
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and executing successful fundraising strategies and developing partners through networking
• Effective, experienced, and confident public speaker; ability to lead meetings with various stakeholders
• Ability to engage clients, customers, stakeholders, partners, and volunteers covering a wide breadth of sophistication from community representatives to C-suite executives
• Facilitation, negotiation and closing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Products; SalesForce experience preferred
• Availability and flexibility to travel throughout the agency’s service area and to participate in program activities when necessary, including early weekday morning and evening hours and occasional weekends
• Willingness to work within culturally diverse environments
• MUST RESIDE or be willing to reside in Greater Tarrant area
