Assistant Manager

Full Time Position
Watchung, NJ
Salary Range: 45k-55k

We are hiring for an Assistant Manager to help run the daily activities of the Swim Associates and adhere to the Big Blue Swim School standards. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and we will provide all necessary training for lesson and pool related responsibilities. The Assistant Manager serves as a right hand to the General Manager.

No aquatics experience necessary!

Responsibilities:

Communicate with parents/customers on a regular basis to provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service
Ensure efficient building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations
Conduct daily monitoring and review of student progress, check box completion, and move ups to ensure appropriate progression
Coach and instruct teachers in providing safe and effective swim lessons
Ensure teachers are adhering to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum
Enforce all safety procedures and required certifications

Assistant Manager Qualification:

2 years of proven ability to manage large hourly staff REQUIRED
Excellent customer service skills REQUIRED
Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in the pool as needed
Able to work evenings and weekends
Love working with kids and helping them grow
Enjoys having fun
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move regularly throughout the facility to continuously interact with customers and staff
Will train for lifeguard, CPR, CPO certifications
