Bodine Electric Company, the leader in design and manufacturing of fractional horsepower gear motor for the power transmission and motion control industry has an opening for a maintenance technician.Maintenance technicians are responsible for maintaining all production equipment, providing general facility support and the analysis and repair of electronic assemblies. Provide support on DMR’s and production as needed. This position involves troubleshooting and repair of equipment, controls, plant mechanical and electrical systems. They perform building and ground maintenance utilizing carpentry and plumbing skills. Maintenance techs maintain and manage spare parts inventory, perform preventative maintenance, test and repair motion controls, sub-assemblies, and manufacturing test systems, using a wide variety of test equipment. They build sample PCB assemblies and troubleshoot electronic assemblies at the component level. Maintenance techs participate in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable. They follow all departmental work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies. They ensure the work area and equipment are properly maintained to provide a safe and efficient operation.

Skill Set

• Associate or Technical School Degree in maintenance, electronics or equivalent experience and training.
• 3-5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, current probes, meters, power analyzers).
• Ability to read and analyze schematics diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to independently diagnose and creatively solve unique challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Good soldering skills required.
• Advanced knowledge in a given field or process. [Electronic, electromechanical and HVAC systems]
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and other BEC (Bodine Electric Company) process documentation.
