This is a part-time position with Best Ace Hardware located at 3000 Midway Dr, Harrington, DE. We are looking for a part-time sales associate. Responsibilities include assisting customers both on the sales floor and over the telephone, loading items such as mulch and concrete into customer's cars, answering phone calls, putting up merchandise, doing inventory, checking in orders, straightening and cleaning an area, putting up backstock, watering plants, ordering and maintaining a department of the store, and whatever other tasks are assigned by the store managers. In addition, sales associates will be trained to cut keys, mix paint, cut glass and plexi glass, rekey locks and other service related tasks that we provide.

Applicants must be comfortable using computers, able to lift 80 pounds, and able to stand on their feet for an 8 hour shift. Previous hardware related or home improvement knowledge preferred. Applicants should enjoy working with the public and solving customer's home improvement problems. Applicants must be available to work daytime and evening hours and rotating shifts each weekend. We are open seven days per week including weekend and evening hours and most holidays (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). Applicants will be eligible for a generous employee discount.
