Optometric technician performs a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations. They record patient medical histories and help prepare the patient for the vision examination. They also assist with tests that help ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a diseased eye such as taking optomap photos, tonometry, visual field, and optical coherence tomography. Assisting first time contact lens wearer by teaching the patient how to insert and remove lenses. Answering phones and scheduling patient appointments.
Need good computer skills for use with electronic medical records - RevolutionEHR. Must be detail oriented, accurate, and time efficient. Optometry office setting experience preferred. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5. Travel may be necessary to all of our locations: Palafox and Fairfield in Pensacola, Milton, and Foley. This position is primarily at our West Pensacola office.
