Engineering Technician


JOB SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for supporting technical and highly automated medical device assembly and filling lines. Activities will include troubleshooting equipment, working with engineering staff to implement process improvements, working with equipment vendors to become an on-site expert on the process equipment, the creation of engineering documents, and other activities. The associate will participate in cross functional teams, exhibit ownership, and deliver on-time results while optimizing quality and performance.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliver excellent results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with team members and contract manufacturers (domestic and international).
  • Critical thinking and problem solving both theoretically and in hands-on situations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to lead the execution of equipment validation protocols.
  • Flexible in adapting to changing project priorities and work assignments.

  • Ability to apply the knowledge of engineering concepts to troubleshoot processes, improve processes, and participate in design decisions.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years in an engineering or other closely related technical role.
  • 1 - 3 years working with machine vision systems.
  • 1 – 3 years working with automated equipment in a troubleshooting and / or process improvement capacity.
  • 1 – 3 years troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Robotic experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Technical training or hands-on equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff within the organization.
