Organic Farm Crew Lead 2024

Job Description: our crew leaders are involved in many aspects of the farm. Below is an example of some of the work you might do, although Crew Leaders often specialize in certain areas of the farm.

· Harvesting, spring planting

· Field work (planting, weeding, etc.)

· Packhouse Work (bunch, pack, and prepare vegetables)

· Pack CSA boxes

· CSA distribution from Farm Stand, Boulder, or Denver

· Farmers Markets- Longmont or Boulder Saturdays

· Prepare, pack, and drive market trucks

· Farm Stand (operating our roadside Farm Stand)

· Flower work (harvesting, making bouquets, etc.)

· Record-keeping, planning, preparing

Work Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday, mostly 8-9hr days, 40-50hrs/week (May be M-F from Mar-July based on farm needs)

6:30/8am-3/4:30pm OR 9/10am-5:30/6:30 (varies with season, weather, and daily farm needs)

Season runs March/April-November/December (Enjoy winters off!)

Positions Available:
Crew Leader - $17-$18/hr plus staff veggies. Experience required.

Manager - $17-$20/hr plus staff veggies. 5 years’ experience required.

Work Experience/Skills Desired:

Experience in related field preferred (farming, outdoor work, military, grocery, restaurant, etc...), strong interest in organic vegetables/flowers, ability to pace oneself and stay motivated, good communication and respect for others, basic math skills, and flexibility for changing tasks. Must be able to work long hours in all kinds of weather and be able to lift 50lb . Must be able to commit to the full season through November. Bilingual a plus. Must have clean driving record, experience driving delivery trucks preferred.
