The Maintenance team is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property by having a working knowledge of the whole property’s systems and related code requirements, including fire protection, security, grounds, internal structural plans, HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing light electrical repairs, light plumbing, replacing broken fixtures, carpentry work, custodial and grounds work, periodic inspections and preventative maintenance, overseeing outside contractors, snow removal, and assisting in move-in and move-out procedures.
Maintenance team members must have a concern for work safety along with good teamwork, time management, and customer service skills. Must have formal training in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, refurbishing and cleaning, or heating and air conditioning. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and previous full-time maintenance experience. Must be able to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
