Are you ready to pioneer the future of sustainable technology? Agilyx is seeking a dynamic Director of Supply Chain and Contract Development to support the company's mission in providing innovative technology and integrated solutions to the chemical recycling industry and addressing the global challenge of plastic waste. This role is not just about managing supply chains; it is about building relationships with our partners to design, fabricate, and operate plastic recycling facilities that are transforming the way the world recycles.

What You Will Do:

As the Director, you will ensure our supply chain aligns seamlessly with our operational and commercial objectives. Your days will be filled with exciting challenges, from negotiating contracts with suppliers to nurturing relationships with clients. You will collaborate closely with top-tier suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless procurement of high-quality equipment, as well as lead multidisciplined teams in the supply of complex industrial equipment to Agilyx customers.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a strategic thinker that is also hands-on, results-oriented and driven to continuously improve. As the ideal candidate, you will bring extensive experience in contract manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain leadership, along with proven relationship management abilities. Relevant experience in a large-scale industrial equipment manufacturing environment is essential to successfully leading the negotiation and development of contractual agreements with our customers governing the supply of Agilyx technology.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supply Chain Strategy and Development:
    1. Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with Agilyx's operational and commercial objectives.
    2. Cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with company goals and optimize supply chain efficiency.
    3. Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with targeted commercial terms and quality standards.
  2. Procurement Excellence:
    1. Develop strong partnerships with suppliers, ensuring seamless procurement of goods and services to meet company needs.
    2. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from demand forecasting to supplier selection and negotiation.
    3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency.
  3. Contract Fabrication and Equipment Supply
    1. Oversee the contract fabrication of equipment to ensure the fabricator is meeting design specifications and contractual obligations, adherence to quality standards, and delivery schedules.
    2. Coordinate the shipment and delivery of equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project requirements.
  4. Contract development
    1. Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and clients to secure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing, while protecting Agilyx's interests.
    2. Draft and manage contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Leadership
  6. Provide strategic direction and leadership to internal teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
  7. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and knowledge sharing.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Extensive experience managing supply chain and procurement activities within large-scale, industrial equipment fabrication or manufacturing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing procurement processes within MRP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and adept relationship management abilities.
  • Fluency with ERP systems and advanced supply chain software.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success with entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (such as mechanical, chemical, industrial) OR Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant procurement experience in a large-scale, equipment fabrication environment.
  • 5-10 yrs. experience with contract development for both the procurement of and supply of industrial equipment and contract management experience.
  • Project Management Certification (preferred).

Position Mechanics

Reports to: SVP of Engineering and Execution

Type: Salaried; full time

Work Hours: Generally, 8:00-5:00; with offices and projects globally, there will be occasional evening and weekend work

Staff: 2 Direct Reports

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Work environment: professional office and manufacturing

Travel: Up to 15% Travel

Physical Demands: varies from work performed in an office environment to that of equipment operators

Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $165,650 - $200,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
