Boise Residential Care is Hiring a Community Based Rehabilitation Specialist Near Boise, ID

Job Summary

BRC Mental Health Services is hiring full time or part time Community Based Rehabilitation Specialists (CBRS) and or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to work with us in creating a new type of housing and mental health service all in one program for those dealing with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). We need someone who is passionate about generating creative ideas to help clients maintain stable environments and transition into the community.

Will be able to set own schedule and work as many hours per week as you want. We can work around any other personal, work or school schedules. Time will be split between Telehealth and working with the clients at the house and agency and in the community. Internships are also available. Pay DOE and starts between $18-25 per billable hour. We also pay a non-billable amount per hour for drive time, notes, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides individual psychosocial rehabilitation in accordance with the objectives specified/authorized in the individualized treatment plan.
  • Provides the following tasks: assist and teach gaining/utilizing skills necessary to undertake school, employment, independence; interventions in social skills training/interpersonal behavior; with receiving necessary services; development of skills as necessary for community integration and crisis prevention.
  • Engage with clients to help in building social and basic living skills, learning to manage their personal funds and how to interact in the community and manage their psychiatric symptoms.
  • May have scheduled days that you will be on call for crisis calls. While you are on call you will be available by phone at all times. You will also be available to go to a facility within 1 hour if needed.
  • Conduct skills training and development classes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Be able to pass state and/or federal background checks
  • Driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Computer and technology skills

Preferred

  • LSW
  • CPRP certification
