We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Foreman. Candidate must be comfortable in a leadership role and be able to communicate effectively with crew, project manager, and clients. In this position you will be “bags on” overseeing crew and sub contractors. Along with "bags on" work you will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing trades, deliveries and inspections. This is not a Project Manager position, you must have extraordinary finish carpentry skills.

Site Specific Duties

• Plan the jobsite tasks for the crew and optimize the team to achieve and maintain maximum productivity while ensuring labor and material costs are kept to a minimum
• Ensure you regularly review the most up-to-date work plan and provide updates for short interval work schedules; demonstrate the ability to look four weeks into the future and plan ahead
• Coordinate, direct and monitor the activities of all assigned subcontractors
• Develop and maintain production targets and completion dates.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Designer and Owner to address construction challenges and achieve project goals effectively
• Site Safety
• Support and enforce the site safety plan along with the Site Safety Coordinator
• Perform jobsite cleanup on a daily basis as it becomes necessary
• Leadership
• Manage the optimum crew size and make adjustments as needed to maintain top crew performance
• Review and submit time sheets for all site crew members; ensure staff names, number of hours worked, cost coding and narrative of the work performed is accurate
• Hold regular toolbox meetings with site staff to outline workforce planning
• Mentor and train team members to uphold craftsmanship standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5 years in a foreman role within the construction industry
• 10 years in construction and carpentry. MUST BE A SKILLED CARPENTER.
• Must be a journeyman with experience in a related trade
• Demonstrate extraordinary finish carpentry skills to ensure highest quality of our projects and client satisfaction
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification is required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with ability to work and communicate effectively with a workforce of diverse backgrounds, education and experience level
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve complex unforeseen remodel construction challenges
• Ability to work independently as well as being a team player
• Accountable and dependable
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to collect and interpret data and apply it in a practical approach
• Responsive to jobsite needs and/or concerns

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
