Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team and growing organization.

We are a home care organization providing skilled and non-skilled/private duty care to patients in our communities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Homecare billing/coding experience especially with Mass health and Medicare products
• Knowledge of revenue recovery
• A strong background in medical coding, terminology, and can navigate across different electronic health records
• Has a strong work ethic and accountability
• Has strong communication and collaborative skillsets, contributing to a supportive work culture

Responsibilities:

- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Review and analyze patient health records
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify information
- Assist with medical billing and collections processes

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG coding systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in medical coding or related field
- Familiarity with medical office operations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

- Must have billing and coding certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.42 - $35.00 per hour
