Part-time Early Childhood Teacher serving children with Special Needs

Education:

Minimum Required: High School Diploma plus experience with children

Preferred: Experience with children who have special needs; or some college in child development, education, psychology, or related field.

Desired: Associate's Degree in Child Development, CDA, or related field or 2 years teaching experience in early childhood, ability to implement state recognized curriculum.

Pay is based on level of education and years of experience.

Located in Beaumont, the Shorkey Center’s Instruction Junction Inclusive Preschool Program is seeking an early childhood assitant t eacher for children with and without special needs. The candidate must possess a desire to work with children who have special needs and foster their development. The individaul must be patient and open to learning about the individual needs of the students as well as approriate responses to intervention.

The Center’s specializes in effective educational and individualized programs that include early childhood education and therapeutic services to support development with a desire to meet the needs of all children and an emphasis on children with specials needs. In addition, to child care the center offers ABA therapy for children with autism, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speechtherapy, and Aquatic therapy to provide support for students.

Job Type: Part-time Mornings - 7am - 12:30pm or Afternoons 12:30 - 5:30
