Maintenance Technician

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of “Maintenance Technician”.

Position Overview:

This position will take direction from the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day- up keep of the property. You will perform preventative maintenance functions, including repairs to the facility and production equipment repairs.

Responsibilities:

Complete work and repair orders in a timely manner.

Knowledge in electrical and PLC is must.

Assists in development and application of preventative maintenance program. Helps develop and apply inputs to the PM program.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment daily, weekly as needed.

Handles general ground-keeping maintenance as needed including, snow removal, mowing, etc.

Operate vehicles, power tools and equipment safely.

Keeps logs on work and issues.

Adhere to company policies concerning safety, performing proper lock-out/tag out procedures, using proper lifting technique, wearing proper protective equipment related to duties.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ experience in Maintenance within a manufacturing environment, including experience in equipment and electrical maintenance. Previous supervisory experience required. Electrical and PLC knowledge preferred. Experience with Lean principles and techniques preferred.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, for control. The employee is required to stand, sit or walk continuously. The employee is continuously required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.

Work Environment: When performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles noise. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and/or awkward angles.

Pay: $23.06 - $27.77 per hour
