EAP INDUSTRIES is Hiring a Safety Attendant Near Atlasburg, PA

Summary

Perform on site safety planning, auditing, coordination, and administration services. Assist the Safety and Compliance team in planning, development, coordination, and implementation of Environmental, Safety and Governmental Compliance policies, procedures, programs, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs Job Safety Analysis, site visits and audits for field operations and transportation activities
  • Participates in on site project and safety planning meetings
  • Develops and implements site specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP’s)
  • Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement environmental, safety and compliance policies, procedures, and training.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of safety and compliance programs and makes recommendation on improvements and additions to the safety management programs
  • Reviews current safety policies and training, identifying opportunities for revisions, improvements, and updates to reduce injuries and accidents
  • Communicates and shares environmental, safety and compliance information with appropriate levels in the organization
  • Develops and implements Tool Box Topics, Safety Alerts, to communicate safety directives to employees
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and rules
  • Mentors and trains other employees as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

  • Is at least 18 years old and has a current, valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma/GED, with Safety Certifications, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Health and Safety, or Safety Management
  • Prior experience or internship in environmental, safety, or compliance related field preferred
  • Knowledge of safety policies, OSHA standards, process protocols and emergency preparedness
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional skills in: time management, attention to detail, organization, and documentation
  • Tech-savvy and experienced in general office and/or dedicated safety and compliance software
  • Ability to multitask, and to understand, implement and carry out complex and multi-step verbal and/or written communications and instructions
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with customers, the general public, other employees, and to make entries on reports and records
  • Ability to read, evaluate, comprehend, and implement safety/compliance policies, and procedures
  • Ability to comprehend and complete required skills or safety training courses and pass any associated testing requirements

Working Environment/Conditions:

  • Regularly works the field at industrial project sites and plants, and occasionally in office environment
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and traveling throughout the work sites
  • Occasionally sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • While performing these duties, the employee is regularly exposed to work and hazards such as confined spaces, working from heights, moving mechanical parts, mobile and industrial equipment, fumes, chemicals, airborne particles, and extreme indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Will be exposed to loud noises
  • Will be exposed to uneven terrain
  • Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel to out-of-town facilities and projects to conduct training or environmental, safety and compliance audits, which may require periodic overnight stays
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently 10-30 pounds
  • Vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, use hands and arms to type, copy, file and perform routine clerical and office duties
  • Works 8 to 10-hour work shifts, M-F and occasional week-ends as required by work load and training schedules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
