Job Summary

Middle Plantation Animal Hospital is looking for Full time or Part-time Pet Care Attendant/Veterinary Assistant to join our Family!. This is a Full time/part-time position requiring weekend and evening work with a rotating schedule working as both an assistant and kennel tech.

Kennel duties include walking dogs (both hospitalized and boarding), cleaning runs & cages (in both the kennel and hospital areas), feeding pets in the kennel, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the hospital.

Veterinary Assistant critical skills include, but are not limited to:

- assisting veterinarians and licensed technicians with patient care

- restraint for blood draws

- running in-house lab work

- assisting with diagnostic quality digital x-rays

- monitoring of hospitalized patients

- providing treatments to hospitalized patients caring for boarding animals (i.e. kennel tasks, cleaning & disinfecting, walks, etc.)proficiency in the proper handling & restraint of patients.
